Welcome Spring – Community Clean-Up May 2nd!

Saturday, May 2nd from 10am – Noon
Community Clean-Up to Welcome Spring!
(meet at 9:45am to sign in at A.H. Browne Park, 37th St. W. between Avenues D and F)
The 2nd Annual Community Clean-Up will take place in A.H. Browne Park and surround-ing streets.  The Hudson Bay Park/Mayfair/Kelsey-Woodlawn Community Association is organizing another come-on-your-own or come-as-a-group, all-ages, family-friendly clean-up to welcome Spring and enjoy getting some fresh air and exercise.  Garbage bags will be provided, but please bring your own gloves.
A light lunch will be provided to volunteers and water will be available.   The bathrooms will be open just before the clean-up, then closed during the clean-up, and opened again during lunch.  The park has a beautiful playground, so bring your family and hang out for a bit.  Meet at the A.H. Browne Park playground equipment around 9:45 to sign in and get your garbage bags.  We also have “Community Volunteers” shirts that you can borrow to wear during the clean-up; the community event shirts are red, so feel free to wear your own red shirt if you like.
Note: Children’s wagons are great for helping to carry garbage bags and the kids can ride along or help pull the wagon.
You can contact Suzanne at hbpmkwinfo@gmail.com with any questions.
Hope to see you on May 2nd – thank you for helping the community welcome Spring!

Thank you to all *Community Clean Up* Volunteers!

A big thank you to everyone who joined the Community Clean Up today in A.H. Browne Park! We had a fantastic turnout and were able to clean up the park and surrounding streets and alleys. The clean up was followed by lunch in the park while the kids had fun blowing bubbles and playing in the playground.

It was great to see familiar faces and meet new ones, and we hope to see you all out again next year!
