Thank you for supporting the recent fundraisers for Ruckus at the Rink!

Thank you to everyone who supported the recent community rink fundraiser BBQs: the volunteers who worked at the BBQs, the friendly people who bought food to support the fundraiser, the kind people who stopped by to drop off a donation, and of course Westview Co-Op.

You all help make this community a better place, and we really appreciate every single bit of help in getting our rink fundraiser off to a good start! It’s going to take some time to raise the funds we need, but if people like you continue to help us out, we’ll get there sooner rather than later!

If you would like to help raise money for the rink at future fundraisers, or would like to donate to help us reach our goal, contact your non-profit Community Association by sending a message on this page or email the Community Association at hbpmkwinfo@gmail.com . You can also send a cheque to the address in the above photo. (be sure to write Attention: RINK FUND)

Many thanks for supporting your community!

Proceeds from the two barbecues: $1312

All proceeds go toward rebuilding your outdoor community rink.

Buy burgers at the BBQ or help flip burgers for the rink fundraiser!

*** RINK FUNDRAISER  – Raising money to help rebuild the community rink ***

Help us with our first Co-Op BBQ Fundraiser!

Can you help flip burgers on Saturday, May 27th? Join us at the Co-Op on the corner of 33rd St West and Avenue P North

We need volunteers for 1-hour shifts from 10:00 am – 4 pm

Email us at hbpmkwinfo@gmail.com for more information or to sign up to help.

If you can’t flip burgers, please stop by the BBQ to buy some burgers and drinks to help us raise money for rebuilding the outdoor community rink.

Thank you EcoFriendly Sask!

The Hudson Bay Park / Mayfair / Kelsey-Woodlawn Community Association wants to thank EcoFriendly Sask today for choosing our community to receive a $500 grant.

EcoFriendly Sask recently offered grants to community groups and associations who are holding a community clean-up during NatureCity Festival from May 23 – 28.  Your community’s 4th annual Clean-Up and Picnic event is coming soon on May 27th, and we feel very lucky to receive this grant.

Even better!  The grant money will go toward the Ruckus At The Rink fundraiser that started recently, to help rebuild your outdoor community rink from the ground up.

Thank you Penny McKinlay & Andrew McKinlay at EcoFriendly Sask!

Community Association welcomes back former volunteers as well as new ones!

We’re very happy to say that many volunteers stepped forward at our recent September AGM (annual general meeting) and helped us fill the open positions for the coming 2016-2107 year. It’s going to be a great year with  a nice balance of former and new volunteers making up the community association board.   That being said, we always need and will welcome more volunteers (especially Members At Large), so please join us if you can!

Welcome Spring – Community Clean-Up May 2nd!

Saturday, May 2nd from 10am – Noon
Community Clean-Up to Welcome Spring!
(meet at 9:45am to sign in at A.H. Browne Park, 37th St. W. between Avenues D and F)
—————————————————–
The 2nd Annual Community Clean-Up will take place in A.H. Browne Park and surround-ing streets.  The Hudson Bay Park/Mayfair/Kelsey-Woodlawn Community Association is organizing another come-on-your-own or come-as-a-group, all-ages, family-friendly clean-up to welcome Spring and enjoy getting some fresh air and exercise.  Garbage bags will be provided, but please bring your own gloves.
——————————————————————–
A light lunch will be provided to volunteers and water will be available.   The bathrooms will be open just before the clean-up, then closed during the clean-up, and opened again during lunch.  The park has a beautiful playground, so bring your family and hang out for a bit.  Meet at the A.H. Browne Park playground equipment around 9:45 to sign in and get your garbage bags.  We also have “Community Volunteers” shirts that you can borrow to wear during the clean-up; the community event shirts are red, so feel free to wear your own red shirt if you like.
 ————————————————————————————–
Note: Children’s wagons are great for helping to carry garbage bags and the kids can ride along or help pull the wagon.
————————————————————————————————————-
You can contact Suzanne at hbpmkwinfo@gmail.com with any questions.
———————————————————————————————————————————
Hope to see you on May 2nd – thank you for helping the community welcome Spring!
